Hotel Holly 1947

Sepia-Toned Postcard Photo Of A Three-Story Brick Hotel With Dormer Windows And A Corner Tower On A Small-Town Street, With A Person Walking Near The Entrance And A Car Parked At Right.

Hotel Holly in downtown Holly, Michigan, shown on a vintage postcard labeled 1947.

This brick building on Battle Alley is better known today as the Historic Holly Hotel. Built in the early 1890s as a railroad-era hotel, it later operated under other names — including the Allendorf and Hotel Norton — and survived major fires and rebuilds before becoming a local landmark.

What do you remember about this place — a meal here, a downtown stroll, or the stories people told about it?
