Playing at the Cascades Dam Near Romeo Michigan

Two People Sit In A Small Boat Below A Broad Waterfall At A Dam With Stone Towers.

Two people sit in a small boat below the waterfall at the Cascades near Romeo, Michigan. Another person sits beside the spillway, while the dam’s stone towers and broad curtain of water fill the background.

The Cascades was built in Ray Township as part of a planned summer-home community. The dam created a lake and recreation area with swimming, boating and gatherings near the waterfall. The clubhouse and dam opened to the public in 1928.
